I'm afraid I've come to the conclusion many American Christians do not know what they are asking for when they ask for revival. I think too many of us are asking for $2 a gallon gas and $4 a pound ground beef. That I guess would make America great again. But it wouldn't do anything significant for the Kingdom of God. Studying The Sermon on the Mount could do wonders.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew chapter 5. "Blessed are the poor for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Luke chapter 6.

Revival? Don't we realize that to ask for revival implies that we are near death or actually dead? Cheap gas and ground beef are not going to revive us in the way we need to be revived. We are not dying from starvation in America. We are dying from obesity.

Kamala Harris as president might actually be better for the church than Donald Trump! Donald Trump might make us all fatted calves. Kamala Harris might make us consider prayer AND fasting. THE TRUTH IS THAT WE CAN BE FAITHFUL TO GOD WITH EITHER ONE OF THEM AS OUR PRESIDENT

As Christians do we really know what it means to be successful? We need to be careful we are not as pagans chasing after money and things.

Luke 12:15. "A man's life is not found in the abundance of his possessions."

Derek Prince said that the greatest test for the Christian is success. Bob Mumford said the most dangerous thing a Christian may face is unending success. Bob also said that it's not always a good thing to get your own way. But that is the nature of man without God, seeking not first the Kingdom of God but seeking the Burger Kingdom. Without God in our souls we become so busy getting for ourselves that we not only fail to give to others, we begin to build barns to store up our wealth. And not having enough stored some even begin to take what belongs to others for themselves. Do we think that the only sins committed by Christians are sexual? 

If you want to vote, vote! I might actually vote myself although the choices becoming harder not easier. What if God actually does send the pagans as punishment against the church when it is unfaithful to Him? What would happen if America no longer failed in anything but succeeded at everything? Don't worry it's not going to happen. What is going to happen? Eventually Revelation chapter 18 will happen on a worldwide scale. Also chapter 19! 

There are very good reasons to vote for Donald Trump. The least of them is cheap gas and food. Even with a restored and prospering economy we have a great need to stop spending, waste and fraud, trillions of dollars which imperil future economic health. Closing the borders to illegals will help our economy and keep our streets safer. Eliminating the Federal funding of the education of our children in public schools will allow us to cut federal taxes and give each state the privilege and responsibility of educating their children. 

So much more could be said about what would help make America great again Good government takes hard work but need not require a bloated bureaucracy feeding off high taxes.

De Tocqueville wrote that in the 1800's. America is not great now because too many have ceased to be good. We can never be in this life as good as Jesus was when he walked in Israel. But we should want to be good. Our experience is often that being good will cost us something. "No good deed goes unpunished" they say. The apostle Paul wrote:

"all those who choose to live in the worship of God in Yeshua The Messiah are persecuted."

Do you choose Jesus and want to live a godly life? It's going to cost you. You will be persecuted. At the root of the "witch hunt" carried out against Donald Trump is, like it or not, that he has chosen to acknowledge Jesus. Has he been a sinner? So have you. Has he chosen Jesus? Have you?
