It is appointed...
So quick to blame
So slow to forgive.
Is life a game
Or will I truly live
Beyond the day
Appointed for all?
When breath gives way
Will I hear Him call?
Have I lived my life
Listening to me?
Or have I heard Christ’s words
And in them been made free?
Free from concern
Should I fail or succeed?
Will I look to the Lord
Praying for others in need?
Praying God their Creator,
Who made all that there is,
That Christ would save them
From the abyss.
Football, hockey
And cricket and darts
May do for a while
Jazz, Rock and rap
And the finest of arts
May do for a while
Gadgets, widgets
Facebook and apps
May do for a while
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, thought like a child, and reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up my childish ways. Now we see from a distance a dim image Soon we will be up close and personal, face-to-face and eye to eye, fully knowing and fully known, loving and beloved.
Now these three remain, faith, hope, love, of which the greatest is love. (1Co 13:11-13)
And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment; so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28
